Women in Franchising
Greensleeves
How did you find out about franchising and Greensleeves in particular? Shortly after having my two children I decided to set up and run my own bookkeeping business so that I could spend more time at home; my husband already ran a successful accountancy practice. When we had our third child I began to develop a real love of gardening again, and when we decided to move to Shropshire, I looked for my next big challenge. When the opportunity arose for a franchise in Shropshire, I jumped at the chance.
Being a franchisee meant I could be my own boss and manage my hours instead of working a nine-to-five job, so that I could be around more for my children. I love that I had the freedom to attend my children’s sports days and still grow my business.
What was the initial training and support like? The training I received from Greensleeves was exceptional. Once I was comfortable with the initial training, I moved on to setting up my office, purchasing a van and equipment. Director Phil Paddock accompanied me on my customer
