County culinary champions Greedy Gordons are hoping to add to their collection of accolades after announcing they have been nominated for the National Pub & Bar Awards 2025. Organised in conjunction with Pub & Bar magazine the National


Pub & Bar Awards showcase the UK’s fi nest pubs and bars on a national scale, highlighting the best venues located within 94 counties across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. T e 2025 County Nominees have been recently revealed, which was cause for celebration for Greedy Gordons. The 2025 nominees for Northamptonshire include The


Red Lion in Cranford, Greedy Gordons multi-award-winning pub. Greedy Gordons Director Richard Gordon and the team hope to taste triumph at the prestigious awards event. The winners will be announced at the grand final ceremony taking place on June 24 in London. On-trade publication, Pub & Bar, hosts the annual National Pub


& Bar Awards, which ‘reward the trade for overall retail excellence, best practice and individual entrepreneurship across the UK’s 94 counties’.

nomination and is thrilled that the pub is just one of only three in the running for the county’s accolade. He said: “The Red Lion team are all incredibly excited to


be attending the prestigious National Pub & Bar Awards, it’s an absolute honour to be announced as county nominees representing Northamptonshire. “T e awards night will also reveal the additional awards winners


of the Pub Group of the Year plus the overall National Pub & Bar of the Year. T e event will also launch the Top 10 Pubs & Bars in the UK list, which has been voted for by hundreds of operators from across the country. It will be an opportunity for us all to come together and celebrate the hospitality industry during such challenging times.” Greedy Gordons venues, which include The Red Lion, The


Snooty Fox in Lowick, T e Pig and Waffl e in Grafton Underwood, as well as T e Buttery Café and Farmshop in Woodford, have enjoyed signifi cant success in a range of regional and national awards and continue to champion the county’s excellent hospitality sector. As Greedy Gordons hope another award win will be on the


menu, Richard, who manages the Greedy Gordons collection of venues with business partner Sonya Harvey, announced they are supporting the search for the industry’s culinary champions in the county. Greedy Gordons has pledged its support for this year’s Weetabix Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards and are again a category sponsor.
