T e Hopping Hare in Duston is renowned for the excellent dining experience it off ers, its comprehensive wine list and well-stocked bar, and its warm welcome for customers. The Hopping Hare holds two AA rosettes, one of only five


venues in the county to do so. Its Friday Tasting Menus give diners the chance to sample the kitchen’s full range of expertise, and throughout the rest of the week there is an a la carte menu for lunchtimes and evenings, as well as a children’s menu and Sunday lunch menu, that cater to all tastes and occasions. T e dishes on off er change regularly and a few examples from


the sample menus are enough to tickle the tastebuds. T e a la carte menu off ers the likes of duo of mackerel – soused and torched fi llets with smoked pate, avocado mousse, fennel, cucumber and orange as a starter. Pan-roasted breast of Gressingham duck and salt-baked celeriac are among the mains. T e Sunday menu off ers a range of roast meats as well as a


wide selection of starters and fi sh and vegetarian mains, while the children’s menu provides a selection to please younger guests. Starters might include soup or vegetable sticks with dips, while mains off er up favourites such as pan-fried chicken with seasonal vegetables and mash, or fi sh, chips and peas. On Sunday June 15, there will be a special Father’s Day menu for


families looking to celebrate dad’s special day. David George, owner of T e Hopping Hare, said: “T e menus are


designed to provide something for everyone and for all ages. We use fresh produce, sourced locally wherever possible, and the kitchen team - the team behind us winning Gold in the Restaurant of the Year category at the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards last year - are always striving to come up with something new and diff erent.”
