Applicant Experience Days


If you have been offered a place to study at Birmingham Newman University, we’d really like you to visit the university in person – even if you have already been to an open day. It’s an opportunity for you to take part in a taster session based on the course you’ve applied for. This will give you a good feel for what it’s like to be a student here. Applicant experience days are by invitation and are usually held in the Spring.

Our Student Recruitment and Outreach Team provide a range of services to schools and colleges to help students and their families on their journey to higher education. This includes presentations and webinars on topics such as:

• The UCAS application process and personal statements


• Student Finance • Routes into Teaching


We can also provide tailored presentations for our school and college partners, as well as opportunities to experience our campus. In addition, we run subject-specific conferences for students and host an annual HE Advisers’ Conference for colleagues involved in advising young people about their futures.
