Each year, the Art Deco Napier Festival brings thousands of visitors to Hawke’s Bay to honour one of the most significant moments in the region’s history. The event commemorates the resilience of the community who, 94 years ago, faced the devastation of the 1931 earthquake and went on to rebuild their city with remarkable determination. The architecture of the city reflects the iconic Art Deco period, with sleek lines and geometric motifs that transport you back in time.
