h e hotly-anticipated estate version of the all- new MazdaO has now arrived at Perrys Mazda in
Blackburn. In addition, a 140ps 2.0-litre
diesel engine has joined the line up, providing a choice of three engines for the Estate model along with the 2.0-litre 147ps and 2.5-litre 170ps petrol engines. Meanwhile, a 1.8-litre 120ps petrol engine is available on saloon and hatchback models. The new MazdaO was intro
duced at the end of 2007 and is even more stylish, functional and economical than, its predecessor, which was popular with both families and company car driv ers. The arrival of the new estates and diesel versions means there are now 25 models in the MazdaO range, priced from £15,110 on-the-road, with C02 emissions from just 147g/km. Mr Philip Eastwood, dealer
principal at Perrys Mazda Blackburn, said: "The new MazdaO has retained and enhanced many of the original model's distinctive design fea tures that set it apart from other vehicles. Not only is it one of the most stylish in its class, its per formance, practicality and econ omy figures are among the best." The new MazdaO has achieved
a weight loss of up to 50kg, despite being better equipped with enhanced comfort and safe ty features. Mazda believes that reducing weight and improving the car’s fuel efficiency and C02 emissions should not have a detrimental effect on the car's performance. The new MazdaO still competes with the best in its class with the 2.5-litre Sport achieving 0-62mph in 8.3 sec onds and a top speed of 137mph.
