(PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION) ORDER 2005


On the 21st February, 2005, the Lancashire County Council confirmed the above Order.


The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert part of Public Footpath No. 8, in the Parish of Paythome, Rib- ble Valley Borough.


a) The part of Public Footpath No. 8, in the Parish of Paythome, Ribble Valley Borough, from a point approxi­ mately 72 metres north-east of its junction with Public Footpath No. 9, Paythome, (GR. 8351 5307), in a gener­ al south-south-westeriy direction for a distance of approx­ imately 693 metres, to a point approximately 220 metres south of the junction of Public Footpath No. 12, Paythorne, and Ing Lane, (GR. 8327 5243), will be slopped-up; and


b) a route be created from a point approximately 72 metres north-east of the junction of Public Footpaths Nos 8 and 9, Paythome, (GR. 8351 5307), in a general south- south-westeriy direction for a distance of approximately 722 metres, along the track known as Ing Lane, lo rejoin Public Footpath No. 8, Paythorne, at a point approxi­ mately 220 metres south of the junction of Public Foot­ path No. 12, Paythome, and Ing Lane, (GR. 8327 5243), as shown on the Order plan.


A copy of the Order, as confirmed, and plan, have been deposited at the offices of the Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, and at my offices, where they may be inspected, free of charge, during office hours. Copies of the Order and plan may be purchased from my offices.


This creation of the route described at b) above comes into force on the 7th March. 2005, and the extinguish­ ment of the route described at a) above will be when the created route is certified as fit tor use, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants lo question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that a requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within
