WADDINGTON’S senior citizens enjoyed a ta s ty feast when they were invited as guests to a Christmas party organised by the Higher Buck Inn. Licensees Mr John Stenson and wife, Lisa, prepared a delicious Christmas meal

Moorcock Inn stages festive party for children was magic!
CHILDREN from all over the Ribble Valley were treated to festive fun when Father Christmas visited a local hotel. The Moorcock Inn, Waddington, was
th e venue for the children's party, a t which 125 youngsters were treated to a magic show and buffet while their par ents had a relaxing meal in the bar and restaurant.

the event had been a suc cess and tha t i t was nice to see the older residents of the village under one roof and having lots of fun.

MEMBERS and guests of Pendle Club were treated to a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. The event, held a t the
club premises in Lower- gate, Clitheroe, was a ttended by th e Mayor and Mayoress of the Rib ble Valley, Coun. Charles Warkman and his wife, Ruth, and the the Mayor of Clitheroe, Coun. Joan Knight and the Mayoress, Mrs Helen Ashworth. The club, which pro
vides a lunch every Wednesday for its single members, served a festive feast which was enjoyed by all who attended. The Mayor of Clitheroe,
who is a member of th e club, praised all those that made the event possible. She added: “Everything
