Monster’s Ball (Sky Movies 1, 9pm) Halle Berry gives an Oscar-winning turn in this study of grief and sexual longing. Billy Bob Thornton plays Death Row prison guard Hank Grotowski, who has been raised a racist bigot. But Hank re-evaluates his prejudiced outlook when he meets Leticia Musgrove (Berry), the wife of a recently executed inmate. Desperately lonely and craving phys ical intimacy, Hank and Leticia seek solace in sex, but the ghosts of the past continue to haunt them. Superb emotional drama.
