Global outlook for 2022 Movers and shakers


Marie-Laure Fleury (pictured) has been appointed general manager at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square. Following a long career in hospitality, Marie makes her next move with Four Seasons to oversee the Hotel, Residences and Private Member’s Club at Ten Trinity Square. As an important component of its continued expansion in both the US and UK, Magnuson Hotels has named Jérémie Dardard as chief operating officer at Magnuson Hotels in London as the group moves into its next phase of growth. The Doyle Collection has also appointed François-Xavier Schoeffer as general manager at The Kensington Hotel in London. Schoeffer joins the group with over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality. Elsewhere in Europe, Matthias Welzel has been named general manager at Hilton Lake Como. Welzel will lead the hotel and team in all aspects of hotel operations, from marketing and hotel administration to guest services and satisfaction. Carlos Díez de la Lastra has been appointed chief executive officer at Les Roches Global Hospitality Education in Bluche. Appointed by the governing board, he will succeed Dr Christine Demen Meier, who is retiring. Maria Dragulin also joins Accor group as director of hotel development in Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Czech Republic. Vincent Pimont has been appointed general manager at The Peninsula Paris. In the Middle East, Charbel Boutros has been appointed vice- president of development at IHG Hotels & Resorts MEA. Asier Baquero has been appointed general manager at Occidental Sharjah Grand.
