COMMENT Ӏ APRIL 2025
IT'S SHOWTIME: MEET UP IN MUNICH
The behemoth that is Bauma is almost upon us; and we're all over it! Sales manager Joe Woolerton and myself will be at the tradeshow all week – so if you'd like to meet up please get in touch (contact details on page 5). There's plenty of Bauma related content in this issue,
too – although not quite everything; as is customary, some manufacturers like to keep a few launches a secret until the show itself – just to add that extra fizzle of excitement! So stay tuned for further details. What we can tell you, however, is there will be innovation
across the board. Our show guide, starting page 8, is an essential tool to help you navigate around the lifting and specialised transport companies exhibiting at the show. It also provides insight into the breadth of innovation on
display. One exciting area of development, which will be prominent at Bauma, is with electric and hybrid cranes. In particular, we can't wait to see Liebherr's first all terrain with an electric drive and battery, as well as Manitowoc's first ever plug-in hybrid Grove all-terrain cranes. For more on the Grove ATs see the exclusive interview with Florian Peters, senior product manager, on page 40. And for more from Liebherr we have an exclusive interview from Christoph Kleiner, MD of sales at

Liebherr-Werk Ehingen, analysing the company's position in the wider business and political landscape. This starts on page 24. Also during Bauma there's the important job of socialising
and networking! I'm looking forward to various gatherings and, of course, the ESTA Awards 2025. Hope to see you there.
