Brash and Aware by Larris Duhon
Te brash monkey that came from stone. Like us, in an irritable state. Say and do not what we mean, Like a prophet, who practices not what he preaches. Speaks and do not think, As a child lacking a conscience would do. Sometimes it all works out, By speaking loud and proud. An idea that is fantastic, And not knowing until speaking it. Now sometimes we control our impulses, And other times we cannot. It could be good or it could be bad. Sometimes, it’s a mystery that I have; Important thing to do is to live. Don’t overthink or stress. In that time, you’ll know what’s best. Like Sun Wukong, opportunities arise, It could be our greatness or it could be our demise Some opportunities fail and some work, We fall down and it hurts. Live, learn and wait for what lies. As I say to myself with a tear in my eye.
