The Power Within by Lynette Simmons
Te rushing wind blows like the waterfall flowing from a smooth cliff Just like my soul runs freely but never stiff So, I try to stay grounded, let not my heart float adrift Both caught between the heavens and no longer a gift
My spirit turned cloudy, as if full of the dark With anger resting within me as if I were a park Because I gave in too soon and didn’t wait for the spark Of the light that’s within me as strong as an ark
I press and push to do whatever it takes To cause the light and passion within me to finally awake Ten comes that sweet-smelling aroma, like something you’d bake My spirit has revived like a powerful earthquake.
Groove by Kim Dufrene
Positive deeds done every day Each moment of life becomes a slay Don’t stand behind the glass If you are going to take a pass It’s like opening a new door Although there’s an endless floor You can still see past the walls But don’t let your fear be falls You can make this a day you rule Never to be associated with a fool Treat every single creature as a treasure Live every bit of your life as a pleasure Keep your eye on the path that is straight Keep that positive way of walking that gait Be someone on whom you can rely And show others how to reach for the sky Let your love be a tool To make all of the world cool Only if you strive to give the best Can you groove with all the rest
