GREEN BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION UPCOMING PROJECTS
The Hong Kong Government is committed to building a sustainable future and to ensuring that our future generations can continue to thrive in a clean and green environment. To support the growing awareness in the green building sector, the government has reviewed the policy of allowing private buildings to increase floor areas to include green and amenity features for enhancing the living environment.
In this upcoming project section, BCI Asia Research has provided some highlighted projects with adoption of sustainable planning, design, construction, management, operation, maintenance, renovation and decommissioning of buildings.
NINA PARK NINA PARK, Hong Kong’s first museum grade fossil garden located in Tsuen Wan, is set to be completed in 2022. The developer, Chinachem Group hopes to connect the city with its geological roots by designing urban parkland in a quiet corner of Tsuen Wan. Nature meets technology in this showcase of wood fossils, one of the largest collections in Asia. The project won Merit Award at “Green Building Award” under the Existing Buildings – Project Under Design Commerical Building Category in Green Building Awards 2019.
