1978 Susan Quinn and Randy Matz were married at Myers Park United Methodist Church on August 13. They celebrated with family which included their five daughters and five grandchildren. It was a fun-filled day!

1980
2022 was a full year for Ann Dantzler. Her husband David retired, they moved to Athens, Georgia, and their third grandson was born in October. Ann’s class reunion was great fun and she is looking forward to the next one.
1983 Donna Gardner Bracewell is currently living with her husband Dean in Paraguay, doing missionary work with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Their first grandchild, Rose Mary, will be born soon and they will return to the U.S. to visit with her and the family.
1984 Rebecca DePalma got married to a wonderful man, William Loren Gary, last April. Good friend and sorority sister, Mary Anne Lee Saag attended the wedding. Rebecca’s daughters walked her down the aisle.
Allison Gilbert Holmes is still teaching 2-year-olds at a preschool. Both of her sons graduated from college. James graduated from North Carolina State and Stuart graduated

Cynthia Smith Watson ’85 and Terri Smallwood Lowe ’85 (pictured above) had the opportunity to have lunch together at the Biltmore Estate Carriage House in Asheville, North Carolina this summer. Tey enjoyed exchanging grandchildren stories, including both of Cynthia's sons' imminent wedding plans.
Sharon Bromley ’85 (pictured above, second from left) and her husband Stewart continue to reside in Savannah, Georgia where they have lived and raised their family for 34 years. Sharon is the CEO of an orthopedic group while Stewart is the managing partner of a CPA firm. Tey recently enjoyed the wedding of their oldest child, Sara Jane Bromley, to John Pulliam with many friends and family. Sharon said to “look her up” if you are in the area.
Jennifer Martin Hall’s family has had a great year. Her daughter Beth returned safely and more mature from her spring semester abroad in England at the University of Hull. Her daughter Melanie has begun graduate work in library science. In June, the entire family was able to enjoy a week’s vacation for the first time since before the pandemic at Colonial Williamsburg. Jennifer spent the month of July preparing for Achilles tendon repair surgery caused by a
1986 Forty years after leaving central Florida, Mary Beth Kay Walsh and her husband John have returned, currently living in Winter Springs, just outside of Orlando. Their son, Jack (22), is living with them while working as a flight instructor. Daughter Vivian (24) is in graduate school in the Netherlands and daughter Brenna (21) is working on her bachelor’s degree at North Carolina State University.
Wendy Ingram Shelton has retired and relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. She and her husband, Michael, enjoy living close to their sons, James and Charlie, and look forward to Charlie’s upcoming wedding in the spring. Wendy currently volunteers at the local children’s museum and the Huntsville Botanical Gardens.

The class expresses sympathy to Dedra Miller on the death of her husband, Mark, in Jan. 2022. They had been married for 30 years. Their daughters, Delaney and Presley, are currently students at West Virginia University.

Dr. Caryn Long ’88 was appointed as the first Director of the Educational Technology and Innovation Center at Montverde Academy in Florida. Now in her fourth year at the school and 34th year in education, she uses her experience from serving NASA Education and in the classroom to develop the program for students in grades Pre-K 3 – post-graduate.
