travels, heartaches, and joys. They all agreed the years had passed much too quickly, and the well-planned road maps encountered unexpected detours, but their friendships have endured and the years at Queens hold treasured memories.

Jane Curlee and her husband, Max (along with their dog Reggie) made the “big move” to Sharon Towers, a continuing care retirement community, in April. It was hard to leave their wonderful house and neighborhood of 41-plus years, but it was the best decision for them. They are glad to have the joys of downsizing and moving in the rearview mirror!

Susan Story Stanton and her husband Norman are continuing to enjoy their lives at King’s Bridge Retirement Center in Atlanta where Susan is vice president of the Residents’ Council. They are near two of their daughters and three grandchildren. One of their granddaughters, who is a student at Georgia Tech, is studying at the University of Oxford in England this semester.

During Jeannie Simms Dobson's freshman year, JFK was assassinated. What a great shock to be away from home for the first time when this tragedy played out. Jim Barnes, a Davidson friend, surprised Jeannie
Paul have their first great-grandchild. Carter Leonard Gmuca was born in April. He is the son of granddaughter Katy Leonard and Sam Gmuca. Their oldest grandson, Matthew Leonard, married Jennie Peck in June.
Constance Gill Rogers and her husband Al continue to enjoy staying active, including working for candidates for local offices. They also regularly visit their oldest daughter and her family in Chicago. They embraced a big change by deciding to move to a continuing-care retirement community. While they are both very

healthy, being prepared is something they are both in synch with. So, on to the next step in life’s journey!
While some members of the Class of ’67 couldn’t make the 55th reunion, an impromptu one in Louisville, Kentucky, was enjoyed last August by Rosie Beaudrot Graham, Sara Ferris McCall, Sharon Ferguson Stern, and Anne Sample Newhouse. The four classmates toured the bluegrass horse farms, sipped samples at the iconic Woodford Bourbon Distillery, savored wonderful meals, and caught up with stories of their families,
Lana Wolcott traveled to North Carolina’s Outer Banks with an annual reunion of Queens from the class of 1967: Susie Denton Labriola, Michele Prestera Craig, Eloise Pierson Mason, Nancy Okerson Shulhoff and Lana Hobbs Wolcott. The names may have changed but the fun and friendships have not!
