education nonprofit based in uptown Charlotte. Davis is responsible for day-to-day operations, governance and fundraising for the organization.


Michael Valenzuela and Meghan Michael were engaged on campus where they met. Michael was supposed to be in Pennsylvania, where he was completing his third year of medical school, but instead surprised Meghan and got down on one knee!


In July, Davis Tapp ’14 became the first permanent executive director of Te Choir School at St. Peter’s, a music education nonprofit based in uptown Charlotte.


2016 Jasmyn Lindsay ’16, MBA ’20 and Emily Lindsay MA ’20 were married on October 26, 2019 at Belk Chapel on Queens’ campus. Te Chi Omega gazebo was utilized for the bride’s first look. Notable Queens connections include photographer Elli McGuire ’14 and many Queens classmates and friends in the wedding party and in attendance.


Maxwell Millington married Brittany Steele on June 4 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A ceremony with friends and family will be held at a later date. Te next day, Maxwell accepted a job offer at Courier Newsroom as a content producer for their local news site Cardinal and Pine.


2017 Nick McCauslin received his juris doctor degree from Te Wake Forest University School of Law.


Morgan Ward has been accepted to the Elon University School of Law with a Dean’s Scholarship. She began attending law school at the beginning of August. Morgan will pursue a juris doctor degree and graduate in December of 2022, as Elon’s innovative program allows for the completion of law school in two and a half years instead of the traditional three.


2020


After graduating from Queens, Elisabeth King obtained a job as director with GSM Services, headquartered in Gastonia, North Carolina, and bought her first home!

Maxwell Millington ’16 married Brittany Steele on June 4 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.


Te class expresses sympathy to Eric Blaeser MBA ’83 on the death of his mother, Elane F. Blaeser, who passed away on July 21.


Te class expresses sympathy to Jim Northrup III MBA ’97 on the death of his father, James “Stan” Northrup, Jr., who passed away on July 20.


Hannah Mixer Kephart ’17 started medical school at Te Medical University of South Carolina in August. She is studying to be a transplant surgeon after working as a nurse in a transplant unit.


Vanderbilt School of Nursing Professor Mary Jo Gilmer MBA ’97, PhD, FAAN, has been selected for induction into the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame by Sigma Teta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for her work with animal-assisted interactions with children with cancer. Te honor recognizes her significant, sustained international achievement and that her research has influenced the
