2011 On April 5, Caitlin O’Rourke Barndt MA ’16 and her husband, Matthew Barndt, joyfully welcomed their first son, Holden Winfield Barndt. At 26 weeks and 2 days old, Holden came quickly into the world. Six days later, on April 11, Holden passed away peacefully in the arms of mom at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, where he was cared for by their amazing team of

Ryan Le DMD, MBA recently completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He has joined the Charlotte Center for Cosmetic Dentistry at SouthPark and looks forward to bringing smiles to the community.


Greg Roberts was selected to the U.S. Navy Reserve Direct Commission Officer program and was sworn in as an Ensign in September 2019. Greg completed Officer Development School in Newport, Rhode Island, in May 2020 and is assigned to the Navy Information Operations Command in Greensboro, North Carolina.


2012 Stephanie Bello became the deputy city clerk for the City of Charlotte in January, where she works on connecting citizens to their government and maintaining a recorded history of government actions. She also provides support to the mayor and council, and manages boards and commissions.


Michael Valenzuela ’16 surprised Meghan Michael ’16 by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him on Queens’ campus in September 2019.

Beau Rowe ’13 graduated from Duke University with his Doctorate of Nursing Practice in May and will be working as a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

During his time at Duke, he served as the president of the nursing anesthesia program and traveled to Uganda to provide anesthesia for pediatric neurosurgical patients. His doctoral manuscript has been accepted by the Journal of Plastic Surgical Nursing and is awaiting publication.
