Beyond the Gazebo


To honor its 50th anniversary back in 1978, the Queens Chi Omega chapter erected a gazebo on the exact spot of the first Chi Omega house. Relocated several times along the way, the gazebo now stands next to Belk Chapel. Wherever it stood, the story goes like this: if you and your love share a kiss in the Chi Omega Gazebo, you


two will be together always. And from the looks of these pictures from Queens couples, gazebo power applies not only to love and marriage, but also to the baby carriage!


1. Ariel Hooper DeLallo ’11 and Michael DeLallo ’11 welcomed their second baby, Margaret Estelle, on June 4. Proud big brother, Harrison (now 2 years old), adores his baby sister!

2. Genie Richards ’19 and Pedro Oliveira ’19 were married at Belk Chapel on Queens’ campus by Rev. Joey Haynes ’11 on July 7.


3. Jasmyn Lindsay ’16, MBA ’20 and Emily Lindsay MA ’20 were married on October 26, 2019 at Belk Chapel on Queens’ campus.


4. On July 21, Kimberly Prucha Phillips ’13, MA ’17 and Adam Phillips ’08 welcomed their first child, Ezra Charles Phillips. Their future Royal is happy and healthy!


5. Josh Bryce ’07 and Katherine Morgan Bryce ’11 welcomed their daughter, Cameron Margaret, on February 25. Adjusting to life with a newborn during a global pandemic has made for a crazy, yet memorable 2020!
