Everett Family
For more than 75 years, the Everet family has demonstrated a deep belief in Queens’ mission – supporting scholarships, programs, and growth. This year, their generosity extended to the Herschel and Cornelia Everet Library, enriching student involvement in the preservation, restoration, and presentation of Queens’ archives.
By connecting past to present, this work offers students hands-on experience in historical research and archival practice.
Celia Parker Faulk ’59 Music Scholarship
In addition to their ongoing work with the university archivist, students helped develop a special display showcasing Queens’ history during the inaugural Royal Weekend. Presentation supplies were funded by Jane Hadley.
"As a young person, I'm constantly hearing about the history that's happened long before me, but since I've started working in the archives, I've goten the chance to see and hold history in my hands,” said V. McGuire ’25, who worked closely with the university archivist. “It's been wonderful work to preserve the history that came long before me for the historians to come long aſter me."
Though her sister Celia Parker Faulk ’59 passed away in 1970, honorary alumna Sarah Parker has never stopped looking for ways to honor her legacy. This past year, through a generous act of devotion to her sister and an appreciation for the impact Queens had on her, Sarah endowed the Celia Parker Faulk ’59 Music Scholarship. The scholarship will be further strengthened through a future bequest, including an annuity and a charitable remainder trust, ultimately providing a near full-tuition award for a student with a passion for music.
