Undergraduate Student Research
As student interest in real-world research grows, The Beth and Ravenel Curry Foundation is helping Queens rise to the moment. Their generous support empowered our James E. Rogers Research Program to invite a new cohort of scholars, giving students the opportunity to work with faculty to explore timely topics, including civil discourse, social relationships, and freedom of speech.
Daniel Terry, Ed.D., assistant provost for the undergraduate experience, led the project and witnessed firsthand the program's impact on student development. “We know from experience that undergraduate research is a high-impact practice,” he said. “It leads to professional preparation, deeper learning, greater engagement for students, and facilitates mentoring relationships between faculty and students. These transformative experiences for our students are a direct result of the generosity of the Curry Foundation.”
Beth and Ravenel Curry’s values are reflected in this initiative that inspires curiosity and dialogue.
