A hallmark of a Queens education is the chance for students to immerse themselves in another culture. Whether through faculty-led trips or full semesters abroad, students gain once-in-a-lifetime experiences that broaden their perspectives and deepen their learning. These transformative journeys are made possible through generous donor support, including:

• John Belk International Program • The Charles and Jane Hadley International Enrichment Fund • Class of ’58 Scholarship • Elizabeth A. Dalton Scholarship for International Internships • Jo Dewit International Adventurer Scholarship

Jo Dewitt International Adventurer Scholarship

Former Trustee Jo Dewit Wilson ’59 was a lifelong partner of Queens. From supporting computer labs and the Queens Fund to endowing a scholarship in 2009, she believed deeply in the transformative power of education. Jo passed away in January 2025, but her legacy lives on through the students who explore the world through her generosity. This year alone, nine students benefited from an international experience with support from Jo’s scholarship.
