COPING WITH COVID
This company has set out from the start of the grip of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown to offer as much protection as possible to both passengers and drivers. All drivers wear face masks and re- quest that their passengers do the same; the driver provides a mask if one is not available. Similarly they ask passengers to sanitise their hands before the start of every journey, for which sanitising fluid is made available at all times. A thorough vehicle cleaning regime is in place for all drivers.
All vehicles on the fleet have been fitted with Perspex screens, and passengers are asked not to sit in the front seat next to the driver. Seating restrictions are in place in all models and layouts of the ve- hicles, to enhance social distancing. A discount of 20 per cent was offered from the beginning to all NHS staff and workers, and that discount was also offered to any customer taking advan- tage of the Chancellor’s “Eat Out to Help Out” restaurant trips dur- ing the month of August.
Cab My Ride has made extensive use of their Facebook page to alert all their customers of these various precautions and provisions, thus maintaining confi- dence in the firm’s service amongst their passengers whether one-offs or regulars.
