NEWS...IN THE NEWS AUTOCAB ANNOUNCES PHASE #2 EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND
To help customers during these un- precedented times Autocab’s Phase #2 Emergency Relief Fund is deferring licence fees by 50% for the next four- months. Autocab under- stands it is still tough out there and whilst some private hire and taxi compa- nies are seeing small improvements in demand and more drivers returning to work, predictions for when the coun- try might return to normal mean that we’re some way off business as usual. Many customers opted-in to the £500,000 Operator
Relief Fund and are taking advantage of various government schemes such as furloughing staff and applying for loans to help weath- er the downturn. As a technology and business partner, Autocab wanted to go one step further in helping reduce costs by offering access to the Auto- cab Phase #2 Emer- gency Relief Fund. The fund enables taxi operators to defer 50% of the next four monthly Ghost cloud pay- ments. Autocab cus- tomers are invited to opt in online:

the number or size of operators who can apply. It is a sus- tainable way for Autocab to help customers when they need it most. All operators who have active direct debit mandates or standing orders cur- rently in place will be eligible. The deferred pay- ments begin in June
and run to Septem- ber and are in addition to any dis- count already pro- vided through the Operator Relief Fund. All direct debits or requests for BACS transfers have been delayed until June 11 to give operators the opportunity to opt in - so act quickly. Beginning in Octo- ber 2020, the total
deferred amount will begin to be repaid over 12 equal monthly instal- ments, and for those with less than 12 months on their existing contract, Autocab will auto- matically extend the contract length to 12 months to help spread repayments.
