ROBBERY SUSPECTS FLAGGED DOWN UNMARKED POLICE CAR IN MANCHESTER THINKING IT WAS GETAWAY TAXI!


Two young robbery suspects

caught after they flagged down an unmarked police car believing it was a taxi they had just ordered to escape. Both were prompt- ly arrested, police have revealed. The Manchester Evening

reports that they had been hiding in a bush by a canal after a major police operation in Sale, Trafford, on Satur- day 6 June. Police were investi- gating a series of robberies they said


were committed around the centre of Sale over the past few weeks. The operation - which also involved the police heli- copter
