Two big wins for Shangri-La prove the brand continues to impress business travellers throughout the region. Steven Taylor, Shangri-La’s chief marketing officer, said: “We have a long history in Asia and in many ways have set the benchmark for what luxury represents across the region today. HOTELS GROUP (IHG) Intercontinental emerged as the preferred choice for the Best Business Hotel Brand in Europe for the 15th consecutive year. IHG also won awards for its mid-market hotel brand Holiday Inn, which came out on top in both categories. Another highlight for IHG was the Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort being highlighted as Best Resort Hotel in Asia-Pacific.
