DELTA AIR LINES

Knocking reigning champion United Airlines off the top spot for the first time in 15 years, Delta Air Lines was heralded as this year’s Best North American Airline. Vinay Dube, Delta’s senior vice president suggested this was due to Delta’s culture of service and operational excellence, commitment to innovation and dedication to improving the travel experience. “Business travellers in Asia-Pacific know that we have their backs, and they appreciate the effort we make to provide customers with the very best travel experience.” Next year, passengers can look forward to the recently announced Delta One suites debuting on the new A350 aircraft.

QATAR AIRWAYS

The battle of the “Big Three” Middle-East carriers has been won once again by Qatar Airways. Paul Johannes, vice president Qatar Airways North Asia, said: “Our unceasing commitment to providing best-in-class service in today’s competitive aviation industry has won us various accolades from passengers. We recognised very early on that the only way to maintain our position as a leading premier airline is to continue to invest and improve our services to the finest level possible. Besides stellar service, Qatar Airways also offers convenient flight schedules for Asia-Pacific travellers to many key business and leisure destinations in the Middle East, Africa and Europe, on one of the world’s youngest fleets, averaging just under five years old.” Network expansions continue next year, along with the unveiling of the highly anticipated Super Business Class.

3 Jetstar AIR ASIA

Air Asia remains unbeaten as the Best Low-Cost Airline with the group having gone from strength to strength in the past year, with new services, increased operations and a massive US$12.6 billion order for 100 A321neos.
