During the voting period, Perry scored an undefeated 213 and took three wickets in the one-off Ashes Test in Sydney, and accumulated 905 runs and took 22 wickets in 19 ODIs. She also scored 28 runs and bagged four wickets in four Twenty20 Internationals.
Perry was an integral member of the Australia side which clinched the inaugural ICC Women’s ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 in England earlier this year.
Kohli scored 2,023 runs in 18 Tests, 1,818 runs in 31 ODIs with seven centuries and nine half- centuries and 299 runs at a strike-rate of 152.55 in 10 T20Is during the voting period.
Kohli was also named as captain of the ICC Men’s Test and ODI Teams of the Year 2017. in the ICC Test Team of the Year, but the fourth time after 2012, 2014 and 2016 that he had been picked in the ICC ODI Team of the Year.
Meanwhile, England’s Heather Knight was named captain of the 50-over side and Stafanie Taylor of the Windies was appointed captain of the 20-over side.

Knight was named captain after she inspired her side to a stunning ICC Women’s World Cup victory in front of a packed Lord’s on 23 July in what was a game-changer for women’s cricket. Taylor, the world’s top-ranked T20I batter, was given the nod as captain of the inaugural ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year, introduced as part of the ICC’s commitment to enhance the equity with the men’s game.
