A key missed opportunity identified by the Lived Experience groups was that in all of their interactions with an array of services, there was seldom any attention paid to the
positive potential they may have or their hopes for the future. Group participants were not looking for the language of ‘goals, assets, or
aspirations’ (seen as remote), just a sense that they could have something worth living for
and may even be able to make a constructive contribution to the lives of others.
