Waltham, Mass.-based Benchmark Senior Living began construction on an assisted liv- ing neighborhood with 20 residences, in one of the existing buildings of its Meadow Ridge community in Connecticut. Benchmark took possession of the property in January. The anticipated opening date for the additions is early 2022. The move and renovation will create space for a Benchmark memory care neighborhood at Meadow Ridge.
Atlanta-based Guardian Pharmacy Services and Mullaney’s, a locally owned member of the Guardian family based in Cincinnati, have acquired Hutcheson Homecare Phar- macy. It will operate as Hutcheson, A Guard- ian Pharmacy. All current employees will re- main. Dominic Bartone will continue to serve as director of operations for Hutcheson.
LCS, based in Des Moines, Iowa, has bro- ken ground on The Delaney at The Green, a community in Florham Park, N.J., with 128 independent living residences, 58 assisted living residences, and 34 memory care res- idences. Construction is set to be completed by March 2023. It is the sixth community in LCS’s Delaney portfolio. Life Care Services, a division of LCS, will provide operational management. In addition, an LCS-managed community, the Toby and Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences of Boca Raton, has topped out its $160 million expansion project, to add 111 independent living residences and additional communal areas. LCS has also es- tablished the EverSafe 360° Medical Advisory Board, with seven medical, academic, and health care professionals advising on health and wellness technologies, innovations, and practices for its communities.
Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle Corporation is renovating The Residences at Thomas Circle, its independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in downtown Washington, D.C. Renovations will include a more modern look and the addition of 17 residences to its memory care neighborhood.
Trilogy Health Services, based in Louisville, Ky., has extended benefits to employees of participation in Synchrony Pharmacy, whose

Phoenix Senior Living, based in Roswell, Ga., completed a $1.63-million renovation of The Retreat at Conyers in Conyers, Ga., a community with 78 independent living residences, 30 assisted living residences, and 30 memory care residences. Sayer Construction and 828 Interior Design Studio led the eight-month construction project. It added amenities including a salon, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a game room, and an intergenerational outdoor play area.

Toledo, Ohio-based Welltower® Inc. has en- tered into a definitive agreement to acquire for $1.58 billion a portfolio of 86 properties, including 80 independent living communities and six with independent and assisted owned by Holiday Retirement, based in Winter Park, Fla. Atria Senior Living, based in Louisville, Ky., will take on operations and retain Holi- day’s in-place senior management and staff. The transaction was to complete in the third quarter of 2021. In addition, Welltower has finalized a relationship with Treplus Commu- nities, a Columbus, Ohio-based developer of 55+ active adult rental communities. The Treplus brand will be part of Welltower’s senior living portfolio. Also at Welltower,
the company has formed a relationship with Monarch Communities, a vertically integrat- ed senior living provider with expertise in development, design-build, management, and long-term ownership. Monarch is a new brand founded by industry veterans Michael Glynn, Ross Dingman, and Andrew Teeters. The partnership broke ground in June on its first development, Monarch Cooper's Corner, located in New Rochelle, N.Y. The companies are also repositioning several Welltower communities in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
Yardi, based in Santa Barbara, Calif., has updated its EHR Care Stream app, which enables point-of-care charting and related administrative tasks on mobile devices, to add order-resolution functionality and faster performance.
