RED ROSE AWARDS SPECIAL REPORT
PAINTING THE TOWN RED
The Red Rose Awards made Blackpool rock as it marked its 10th anniversary milestone with an evening to remember.
More than 1,000 guests once again flocked to the resort’s Winter Gardens for the biggest night in the county’s business calendar.
And once again they celebrated true business excellence and the achievements of the very best of the best.
The Red Rose awards are all about the businesses that keep the county thriving – the true heroes of the Lancashire economy.
Lancashire Business View publisher Richard Slater told the audience: “Tonight, is about celebration.
“Celebrating the brilliance of Lancashire business. Celebrating our can-do attitude. And celebrating together.”
He added: “When we began, back in 2011, we promised our sponsors an audience of 250. We’ve done alright.”
The event saw live music by Mr Wilson’s Second Liners and late-night party band The Deadbeats with spectacular acrobatics provided by Gravity Live.
And the celebrations went long into the night as the awards turned into another great party time for winners and guests, featuring late night pizza by Campbell and Rowley, the hospitality team at the event.
The awards ceremony was once again hosted by the BBC’s Graham Liver. And the evening raised money for the Rock FM Cash for Kids charity.
Organisations of all sizes and from every corner of the county entered this year’s 10th annual Red Rose Awards.
