Corporation to supply 18km of its Tri-Strakes pipeline protection for Lingshui 17-2, a deepwater offshore gas field development located in the South China Sea. The Skelmersdale firm will also provide four NjordGuard cable protection systems to renewable energy provider Ørsted, for installation at Hornsea Two, the world’s largest offshore windfarm.
Supertex Furnishing has been acquired for £1.3m by the Headlam
Group, an international distributor of floorcoverings. Supertex supplies carpets and carpet tiles as well as vinyl flooring, artificial grass and accessories to retailers across the north and Midlands. Founded in 1978, the Leyland company employs 29 staff and has annual revenues of £4.7m.
Full-service energy consultancy Octego has been tasked by The Arch
Company with meter identification, invoice validation and related services. The Blackpool firm will now oversee 5,200 former railway arches, which currently house businesses including bakeries, barbers, gyms, micro- breweries, offices and warehouses.

is to expand into larger premises and increase the size of its workforce after securing a £150,000 loan from Rosebud. The company will move to Blackpool from Preston where it will increase production of
its range, which includes CBD oils, Vitamin C sachets and Omega 3 fish oils made from sustainably sourced, organic and non-GMO ingredients. YourZooki employs three members of staff and has a turnover of £1.05m, exporting its products across 14 European countries.

Blackburn-based Euro Garages made two acquisitions which will
add 170 food retailers and more than 4,000 employees to its worldwide group. The first deal sees the company acquire Belfast-headquartered The Herbert Group, which operates 146 KFC restaurants and a Pizza Hut, as well as a development pipeline and a small number of non-trading sites. EG has also entered into a binding agreement to take on Oliver’s, the Sydney-based chain of healthy-eating restaurants, of which there are 24 in Australia.

A new five-figure funding package agreed between a family-run hotelier
and Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking will secure 50 jobs which were put at risk by the coronavirus lockdown. Walker & Williams, which owns and operates four boutique 5-star aparthotels in Preston, Ormskirk and Chester, will use the funding to support cashflow and help secure jobs for all of its 50 team members.
DA Techs, the rapidly-growing alloy wheel refurbishment specialist, is to expand its presence in the south east after securing £80,000 of funding from Rosebud. The team is currently based in Adlington, but will use the finance to create a first-of-its-kind wheel refurbishment pod. Featuring wheel repair technology, a tyre machine and spray room, it will travel to clients’ addresses and begin work within three hours of arrival.
