HUB MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Jamie-Leigh Matheson, venue sales manager, Blackpool Football Club My sector and specialities
The venue sales department looks after everything non-matchday within the stadium for meetings and events.
The stadium has 14 meeting rooms and four large function spaces, where bookings can be made from two delegates through to 600.
Darwen-based Elektec has gifted all primary schools in Blackburn with Darwen with copies of the storybook ‘When I Grow Up’, written by Richard Smith. The story follows twins Harry and Amy who are considering their future professions as part of their school careers day competition. It covers a range of engineering activities and examines the value of the construction industry.
From small meetings to large conferences, award dinners to birthday celebrations – Blackpool Football Club can cater for any occasion and support all companies in achieving their objectives.
My biggest achievement so far
Personally, as someone who is from Blackpool, being able to lead a team to reintroduce the meeting and events business back into this iconic venue is an amazing opportunity.
We have an incredible stadium, with a large scope for organisers to reach their objectives in a unique venue which is filled with passion.
My ambitions for the future
Theodore House in the Ribble Valley hosted the Canterbury Institute who visited its facilities to read, study and take a well-earned get-away from the pressures of their ongoing study life in Oxford.
eBusiness UK has been ranked as one of the top 50 search engine optimisation specialists in the world. Independent reviews platform Clutch collated the list based on elements such as number, quality and recency of customer reviews, strength of portfolio of work, specialisation, experience and industry recognition. The Blackburn firm achieved a full 5.0 score.
Naturally, we are wanting to grow our meetings and events base by expanding our reach and awareness within the business community.
We’re committed to making the stadium a hub for businesses in Lancashire and a go-to space for many for celebrations.

How LBV Hub helps
We’re all aware of how important it is to be digitally present, now more than ever.
The LBV Hub is a great tool for any salesperson within business.
It’s a platform that allows me to share updates, promote upcoming events and connect with businesses socially.
