Who we are
Our group brings together Nelson and Colne College, Accrington and Rossendale College and Lancashire Adult Learning to offer bespoke and high-quality education services for learners of all ages across Lancashire.
Whilst specializing in A Level and technical courses tailor-made with the needs of learners and local businesses in mind, we boast an incredibly high and successful GCSE pass rate and a growing apprenticeship offering, alongside higher education qualifications through our university centre.
What we’ve achieved
Since the merger with LAL in 2016 and then with ARC in 2018, we have taken them from Inadequate and Requires Improvement, respectively, to Ofsted Outstanding.
We have built excellent links with businesses, employers and community groups within the Pendle and further Lancashire areas to assure that we are providing the most relevant and up-to-date skills to better serve not only our learners but also the wider needs of our community groups and enterprises.

Who we are
We are very proud that LED Electrical has been trading for over 30 years as an independent electrical wholesaler providing industry- leading products to customers across the North West and beyond.
We currently operate from three sites across East Lancashire with our head office in Nelson and branches in Blackburn and Haslingden employing around 50 staff.
What we’ve achieved
We have recently created a climate solutions division and formed strategic partnerships with market-leading manufacturers in Solar PV, heat pumps and air conditioning.
We have already seen rapid growth in sales in these markets and have a trained team ready to provide energy-saving advice to our existing clients and new customer base.
We plan to continue investment in these areas as we look to create new opportunities for jobs and growth.

Who we are
Barnfield Construction is a nationwide contractor, developer and investor specialising in new-build contracts and redevelopment projects across industrial, commercial, leisure, retail, hospitality and residential sectors.
What we’ve achieved Our most recent achievement is the £32m transformation of Brierfield Mill into a major living, working, learning, leisure and cultural hotspot, which is now in its final phase of development.
Once complete, Northlight will take centre stage again in the economic fortunes of Lancashire and play a role in the Northern Powerhouse.
This project has been brought to Pendle by PEARL, a JV company that aims to make Pendle a more prosperous place through delivering development and regeneration projects.
2023 is looking to be a prosperous year for Barnfield, and Northlight is just one of the many incredible developments coming to fruition.
Why we love Pendle We are proud of our Pendle roots and a lot of our work is local.
Since we opened our doors in 1976 we have built over 1,500 homes in Pendle, our latest are Linden House and Fearndean View.
We have also built 140 commercial and industrial properties for Pendle businesses!
Supporting our local community and charities is also embedded deep into the fabric of our company, and we raised over £20,000 for Pendleside Hospice in 2022.
