STUDIO COMMITS TO HYNDBURN
Following its acquisition of Studio Retail, new owner Frasers has reinforced its commitment to the Hyndburn area by purchasing the 76,000 sq ft office property in Clayton le Moors which is currently used for Studio’s administrative and operational functions.
Studio has now begun a £750,000 recruitment drive to fill 30 new roles who will join the existing workforce of 650.
Frasers is also investing in upgrades for Studio’s flagship warehouse in Church, which it acquired previously, including a new purpose-built photography and video studio.
Blackburn-based 21Digital has been commissioned to design and build an e-commerce website for start-up non-alcoholic drinks retailer and wholesaler, House of Clarity. The Blackburn company stocks a comprehensive range of luxury non-alcoholic beverage brands that are new to the UK market. Selling online to consumers and trade, the company will also provide alcohol-free bar hire services for corporate and private events.

Darwen-based print marketing agency Empine Group has moved into new premises that quadruples its footprint, significantly increasing warehousing, office and production space. Over the last year, Empine grew by more than 30 per cent while introducing new SaaS products to facilitate print marketing to large organisations working across multiple premises or selling product across multiple sites.
Altius Group, based in Preston, announced that it has brokered more than 250 business transactions in 2022. A 44 per cent growth in income represented a successful first year of its three-year growth plan. The group consists of Redwoods Dowling Kerr, Kings Corporate, Kings Business and Bruce & Co and the busiest sectors were healthcare, childcare and corporate.
Blackburn-based creative agency Optic Jam has created two explainer videos for NHS England.

Pendle YES Hub welcomed senior representatives from the Department for Work and Pensions who visited Nelson to see how the service is helping tackle unemployment amongst those aged 16 to 24. The DWP director general for work and health services Barbara Bradley joined Amy Pond, DWP service leader for Cumbria and Lancashire, for a tour of the facilities, learning how the service boosted the employability of more than 360 young people since opening in February 2021.
