ACCELERATING GROWTH THROUGH ACQUISITIONS
Logistics firm EFS Global has completed its 23rd acquisition since 2015 as it continues to head in a southerly direction on its road to growth.
The latest deal, announced in early June, has seen the Burnley headquartered company buy Essex based ISL Holdings for an undisclosed sum.
And it means that EFS Global now has 35 depots and offices across England and Scotland.
The group provides warehousing, haulage, customs clearances, vehicle maintenance and logistics services across the UK and worldwide.
ILS Holdings is the parent company of subsidiaries Sussex Pallet Services and Independent Logistic Solutions, an East Sussex-based freight transport collection
and delivery service firm that operates throughout Europe.
Their location will help to extend our
southern presence from Kent into East Sussex which will be a fantastic foundation for future planned growth.
The company serves a broad range of sectors and can handle full loads, part loads and single pallets. It also offers general haulage
and storage services. EFS Global has acquired the company’s entire issued share capital, bringing on board a workforce of more than 40 people. It plans to implement a ‘business as usual’ approach with a strategy of building on what has already been achieved by the ILS management team over the past few years.
EFS management say the transaction further consolidates the group’s position in the south east region after it purchased sister companies Eminence Transport and Floryn, which are both located in Kent, in December last year.
That deal, again for an undisclosed sum, was reported to have taken the group’s turnover to £165m.
