BUSINESS WEEK LANCASHIRE
LOUD AND PROUD!
LANCASHIRE’S business community came together for a week-long celebration of all that is great about the red rose county.
Lancashire Business View has been marking #LancashireDay with the business community for several years.
This year, in response to these extraordinary times businesses are operating in, we decided that instead of one evening of celebration we would host a week of online events – once again fulfilling our mission of connecting the county.
A series of five themes underpinned the Lancashire Business Week programme, which aimed to both champion the county’s successes to date and plot its post-coronavirus future. CG Professional was the headline sponsor for the week.
Our free Breakfast Blasts were attended by delegates from across the county, representing its wide range of sectors. They heard from more than 30 speakers and special guests.
And the week culminated in a special celebration on Lancashire Day, where the online audience also heard from special guests motor sport legend Carl Fogarty, Michael Finnigan of i2 and Simon Entwistle, who gave the Lancashire Day proclamation.
Richard Slater, Lancashire Business View publisher, who hosted the events, said: “Our aim was to showcase the county, remind everyone how good Lancashire is for doing business and to bring together some
of the biggest business names in the county to inspire us with their stories and experiences.”
He added: “Lancashire has earned its reputation as being hard-working, innovative, collaborative and inventive.
It will be key to engage
customers to bring innovation and add value
“This has helped our business community weather storms before and we also looked to harness that spirit and attitude.”
Lancashire Business Week was backed by patrons AMRC North West, Beever and Struthers,
Burnley.co.uk, Burnley College, Community Foundation for Lancashire, FW Capital, IN4.0 Group, Lancashire 2025 and PDS Engineering. Utiligroup was a supporter. The media partners were Downtown in Business, Lancaster and District Chamber of Commerce and lovelocalnetworking.
