This type of equipment has been in service since 1976 and is constantly being updated and improved on to keep pace with customer needs in an ever-changing environment. The units are designed to handle and dewater a wide range of liquid waste streams such as septic, interceptor, car wash, tannery, abattoir, food and many other waste types, cost effectively and efficiently.


With the increasing restrictions being imposed on the disposal of wet waste, customers are now seeing the benefits of handling and dewatering their own waste streams! For a portable (Satellite) wet waste treatment station the description would typically include an AVC dewatering container with a polymer make up and dosing unit and a Coarse Screening Container. The process is simple.


A tanker delivers a load to the Coarse Screening Container. The Coarse Screening Container removes the rags and debris from the sludge leaving a more manageable product. This is then processed through the polymer make up and dosing pumping unit delivering the screened sludge to the to the AVC dewatering unit. The screened sludge then forms a cake or is allowed to produce a thickened sludge. Cleansed filtrate from the process is released to a foul system.


Elements of the Satellite system are used as part of the ‘General Wet Waste Reception Facility’. This portable facility can handle various waste streams but is normally used for gully and road sweeping residues.


The system enables the mix of debris and detritus to be separated out and then removes the


suspended solids from the dirty water arising from the processes. This leaves a clean filtrate which can be harvested and re-used in other processes thereby reducing the amount of waste going for disposal which in turn greatly reduces overall costs.
