Future Water Association awards for the best in the Water Sector
importance of innovation, new ideas and collaboration to help overcome the current challenges faced by the UK water industry. Challenges which include delivering a quality service at a reduced cost (current sector spend averages over £5 billion per year) to a growing population, preserving the wonderful water legacy left to us by the Victorians and protecting the network for future generations.

Paul Horton, CEO of Future Water Association, explained the importance of the awards. “People and innovation are the driving force behind today’s water industry and these awards have been established to acknowledge both. We are all busy juggling the day to day tasks within our organisations and it can be easy to take excellence and best practice for granted, especially when it comes to Health and Safety and the achievements of our people. Our Water Dragons Awards recognise the ideas and innovations within the sector and provide a platform for businesses to present new products to key decision makers; opening up wider markets and opportunities.
This year to mark our 30-year anniversary we launched our Ebb & Flow photography competition, encouraging people to celebrate the water sector; the successes, the achievements, the technology and the people that all help deliver a valuable resource we sometimes take for granted”
