Main Feature
The Vivax Metrotech vCam5 Pipeline Inspection Camera has been taken on by many drainage contractors both large and small, hire companies and pest control firms after successful trials.
The vCam5 is a versatile, cost effective system offering inspection from 2 in (50 mm) all the way to 18 in (450 mm) pipeline diameters with suitable skid and light sets.
Its intuitive, easy to use control module makes it the choice of the professional drainage engineer. The vCam5 has many benefits including an 8 in (200 mm) Daylight Readable screen, so no more covering up with a coat in bright sunlight or struggling to see the screen from a manhole. The huge 300 Gb built-in hard drive as well as USB and SD card recording makes giving the client a file extremely easy. Everything is one touch control, from recording and taking a digital still image to controlling the lights and the built-in sonde. All aspects of the unit are designed to make the job of the engineer easier. The controller is also compatible with 3rd party reporting software such as WinCan and Viewline.
WARDSFLEX
Wardsflex is delighted to be exhibiting a large selection of its well-known professional drain and sewer cleaning tools and accessories at Drain-ex 2017. Many visitors and regular customers will be familiar with Wardsflex products which are dedicated for the specific needs of the drainage industry.
Samples of Wardsflex’s red drain rods, Steelkane Rods and the associated drain tools, manhole keys, drain dye, stoppers and air bags, hydrant standpipes and many other necessary accessories will be on display as they continue to be very popular with customers in the UK and overseas.
Wardsflex is always mindful that its customers need good quality, reliable and reasonably priced tools and equipment to be able to do their jobs effectively. If customers are satisfied then it is much easier for them to serve their customers in a professional manner. Additionally, the company knows that stock availability and prompt delivery are vital. Therefore, its key aim is to provide a good choice of products as a single source supplier to save shopping around for the daily essentials. Wardsflex customers should be able to identify what they need, purchase with ease and of course get it delivered without fuss.
To improve its offering and the options for purchase, Wardsflex has recently launched a completely new website. Although it has tried to recreate the familiar look and feel of the old version, everything in the background is different and it has been able to introduce new products and give better product separation to minimise errors when ordering.
So to summarise, what is the target demographic for the new Drain-Ex event? Generally the new show hopes to target all aspects of the water industry from clean water to foul, and from storm water to clean discharge effluent. It should be emphasised that the corporate listings above is just an ‘early doors’ taster of the range of products and services that will be on display at the event with as previously mentioned early interest far outstripping expectations.
From a visitor standpoint anyone working in the water and wastewater/sewerage industries should consider a visit. Whether an engineer or an operative, a front-line or back office worker there should be interesting new, upgraded and innovative equipment, software and services that may well benefit field and office operations.
From the equipment supplier/manufacturer perspective it is the intention of the organisers to attract visitor from across the water spectrum to which the new products, services etc. just mentioned will be of great interest.
From the contractors viewpoint there should be interest in both exhibiting and visiting with new equipment that may help profitability and also potential to network with existing and possible new clients from across the water industry as a whole.
Commenting on the new event Simon Beverley-Smith for Drain Trader said: “The industry needs an event that covers all aspects under one roof, both from a trade show standpoint and a seminar programme perspective. We at Drain Trader are trying to address this with the launch of Drain-Ex. It is early days though, and we welcome industry support as exhibitor, visitor and presenter; and anyone looking to engage with the event should call us or visit the website for more information.”
