Get noticed
Travel Forward is aiming another innovation – Startup Showcase – at fledgling businesses hoping to catch the eye of potential investors. A dedicated Startup Showcase zone will sit within Travel Forward and will provide the link for innovators and entrepreneurs to meet with big corporations and the investor community.
As well as networking opportunities and exposure through WTM London marketing campaigns, participants also gain free entry into the Travel Forward Startup Competition.
Eighteen start-ups will pitch for 10 minutes each to a panel of judges from a wide range including venture capitalists, business ‘angels’ and technology experts over the first day and a half of the show. Judges will then select the top three to present in the Keynote Theatre to the whole conference audience on the afternoon of day two.
The winner will be chosen by the audience through a live voting system immediately after the presentations. They will receive a prize in the form of either service ‘tokens’ from a company and/or cash and/or mentoring. To enter, companies must be under 48 months old and have received £2 million or less in funding. A place in the Startup Showcase zone is £1,749. The package includes two exhibitor passes and stand branding.
