How has business fared in 2019? Last year, more than 14,000 international arrivals experienced The Ghan and Indian Pacific railway journeys, a number that’s grown by 9% year- on-year. The UK market makes up 32% of this figure.
What experiences have you added in the past 12 months? We have expanded our portfolio to include Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef, Darwin Harbour Cruises, Horizontal Falls

What are your top three source markets? The US, UK and Europe.
Seaplane Adventures, Outback Spirit and Eureka Skydeck.
What are your expansion plans for 2020? Our latest addition is a small-group touring company Outback Spirit, allowing us to combine products into carefully curated packages.
What are the 2019 tourism trends? We have seen growth in adventure and culinary tourism. Bandhavgarh, a popular tiger reserve, was featured in the BBC’s iconic series Dynasties and has garnered good tourist traction in the past year.
What developments are planned for 2020? Several
new itineraries, including spiritual and cultural tours, have been added to already popular programmes featuring tigers and heritage sites. The state will also highlight the culinary offerings of Indore, Bhopal and Gwalior, and continue to participate in trade shows and roadshows.

How are visitor numbers looking? We have welcomed 10 million visitors to Taiwan in the past five years, and it’s looking positive for us to receive even more arrivals by the end of 2019.

encourage people to get to know and love Taiwan.
What are the main reasons to visit Taiwan? We have more than 268 mountains over 3,000 metres high. Therefore, in 2020, we will focus on introducing our mountain climbing and hiking trails to the world.
What are your 2019 highlights? We’ve just taken delivery of our 100th aircraſt, launched new routes to Bali and Phuket from Ho Chi Minh City, switched to wide-body flights offering premium economy for the first time on services from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh, and launched our zero-waste policy.
What product developments are in motion? We’re adding premium bedding for
business class passengers, revising our single-use plastic policy and we’re fitting all aircraſt with Wi-Fi.
Any new routes? Next year we will launch a daily flight to Macao from Hanoi. We are also looking into increased flights to Australia and launching flights to America.
