Since EDU-4 is focused on the design and delivery of instruction of entry-level skills identified in the Power, Human- propelled, and Sail ANSs, its application is based on the operating conditions established within each standard with respect to boat characteristics, wind/water conditions, and general operation conditions. Therefore, refer to the domain- specific skills ANS for details when using EDU-4 to design and implement on-water, skills-based instruction for the specific domain.
Do I pay to use ANSs? How do I access them?
ANSs are freely available for use by anyone interested in the design and delivery of on-water skills-based recreational boating instruction. They are included in the appendices to this document. They are also freely available for download at the NOWS Program website and ABYC’s online store.
