wanting to pay tribute to legendary Kiwi mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary. Hillary climbed Aoraki/Mount Cook in 1948, five years before he and Tenzing Norgay became the first known people to summit Mount Everest. The hotel is perfectly positioned for views
