The quotes from Pure Travel offered the best deal for the mystery shopper, and although all the agents were friendly and professional, Pure Travel’s went the extra mile.

Althams Travel 7 RUSSELL STREET
This agency featured a wide range of
offers in its brochure racks. Straight away, a friendly agent, wearing a smart uniform, asked if they could help. The agent
suggested indirect flights for a better deal, and mentioned SeaWorld’s bad
press. I was given quotes for two seven- night holidays with Gold Medal: £2,590
at the Days Inn by Wyndham and £2,551 at the Satisfaction Orlando Resort. Park tickets were mentioned, but not quoted.

This shop was modern and uncluttered, with a good range of brochures. One of the four staff offered me assistance. The polite agent asked basic questions and mentioned indirect flights. They were knowledgeable, having been to
SeaWorld last year. But the two quotes, both for the Clarion Inn Lake Buena
Vista, were hugely overbudget – £4,299 with Tui and £4,799 with Thomas Cook – although they included park tickets.
Florida is always really popular,
especially the theme parks. For people on a budget, it’s worth looking if you can bag
them a deal with indirect flights. Not many people ask about the SeaWorld stories you read in the press.
Pure Travel 12 WESTGATE ARCADE
This tidy shop had lots of offers in the window and a wide range of brochures. As soon as I walked in, a friendly agent
offered me a seat. She looked at Thomas Cook but got quotes of about £4,000, so played around with different options, including indirect flights. I was given two Gold Medal quotes, both for seven nights’ room-only, flying from Manchester with Virgin Atlantic on April 17: Satisfaction Orlando Resort in Kissimmee for £1,997; and £2,034 at the Days Inn by Wyndham Orlando Convention Center. The agent
read me TripAdvisor ratings of the hotels. She didn’t take my details but encouraged me to book as soon as possible. Park
tickets and transfers were extra, but the holiday still came in under budget.
