Travel Weekly has teamed up with Qantas and Tourism Australia on The Ultimate Aussie Adventure campaign. We spoke to Stephanie Seymour to find out more
Q. The Ultimate Aussie Adventure incentive encourages agents to log their bookings to win an amazing Australian holiday. Why should travel agents be thinking of Qantas first for their Australia bookings? A. For almost 100 years, we’ve been connecting Australia with the world and, to put it quite simply, nobody knows Australia like Qantas. From a network perspective alone, we’ve got great options between the UK and Australia via Perth and Singapore, giving customers more choice, which is extremely important. Our unrivalled domestic network is even more accessible with discounted rates available through our Qantas Explorer fares, which are excellent value for
customers. We also really value our trade partners so we do what we can to assist when things don’t quite go to plan. What’s more, with the summer months wrapping up in the northern hemisphere, it’s the perfect time to chase the sun and head south with the flying kangaroo.
Q. How do those Qantas Explorer fares offer such value and how easy is it to book them? A. The benefits centre upon access to really competitive rates on our Qantas and Jetstar network within Australia and New Zealand when customers fly with Qantas internationally. Additionally, the flexibility to change your itinerary should you decide to visit additional cities or extend your stay is something customers
really value. You’ll also get the benefit of a 30kg luggage allowance and guaranteed connections if your journey includes a transit. Qantas-operated flights also include a meal or snack free of charge. They’re easy to book and there’s plenty of support available should agents need it. Having all your flights as part of one itinerary is another great way to streamline the travel experience, making visiting the land Down Under even easier.
You can be in the running to win an amazing two-week holiday to Australia and a host of great weekly prizes by taking part in The Ultimate Aussie Adventure incentive. All you need to do to get involved is log your Qantas
bookings to Australia and complete training modules before October 31. For full details of the incentive and prizes and terms and conditions, head to:

Q. Do you have personal experience of combining different regions of Australia in a single itinerary and how did you find it? A. I’ve combined New South Wales and Victoria on one trip. After a busy work trip, I took a few days off in Sydney to relax, visit some of the amazing beaches and enjoy some great food and wine. I then headed to Melbourne and visited the Yarra Valley which is wonderful. It was really easy getting from Sydney to Melbourne with the number of services Qantas operates and the short 90-minute flight time. I couldn’t recommend it more. In the future, I’d like to do a side trip to Uluru to see the Field of Light or even Queensland’s Whitsundays, which are also really accessible with our daily flights.
