new resort in Krabi Banyan Tree will open a resort in Krabi, Thailand, next year. The new resort will have 72 pool suites, seven two-bedroom villas and one three-bedroom villa. Facilities include all-day dining, a wedding chapel, beach club, kids’ club and a fitness centre. The property is due to open between April and June 2020.

Tui adds The Gambia and Cuba for next summer and winter
Tui will offer holidays to Te Gambia for winter 2020-21 and start direct flights from Manchester to Varadero in Cuba next summer. The operator is adding 16,000
seats to Cuba for summer 2020 and 40,000 to The Gambia from November 2020. Both destinations were strongholds of former rival Thomas Cook. Bookings opened last week for both destinations. Beach stays at three Varadero hotels can be twinned with stays in Havana. In The Gambia, Tui features
eight hotels. From November 1, the operator will fly twice a week from Gatwick and weekly from Birmingham and Manchester.

Princess offers low pricing and new package for wave season

Princess Cruises has unveiled a new pricing offer for the wave season, which combines a new lead-in fare with a low deposit, plus the option to add a “simplified” onboard package. The offer, which runs from December 20 to March
2, 2020, applies to all 1,500 of Princess’s future cruises up to April 2022. Prices lead in at £499 per person, with a £50 low
deposit available. For the first time, guests can add an onboard savings package for £35 per person per day, which includes premium drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities worth more than £70. The package is commissionable for agents and can be added to retail and net fares. It can also be added to existing bookings. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will start flying to Mykonos from Manchester and Stansted next year. The airline and operator will fly twice a week from Manchester – on Sundays from May 24 to November 1 and Thursdays from July 16 to September 24. The Stansted service will run on Sundays from May 24 to November 1 and Tuesdays from May 26 to September 22.
