Before we go on to multiply 3s, 6s, 9s, 7s and 1s, let’s have a quick look back at 2s, 4s, 8s, 5s and 10s.
1. Use counters or your ‘Times Tables’ songs to work out the answers to these multiplication questions. a) 4 × 2 = e) 7 × 10 =

Counting in 3s, 6s and 9s 2.
a) Count in 3s on this 100-square and draw a red mark in all the boxes that are multiples of 3.
b) Now count in 6s and draw a green mark in all the boxes that are multiples of 6.
c) Now count in 9s and draw a blue mark in all the boxes that are multiples of 9.
d) Discuss the pattern with your partner. What do you notice? What does this tell you?
