My first year as Chair of this amazing Festival has been hugely
enjoyable and so I hope the blend of workshops, food markets, chef demonstrations, foodie discussions excites you as much as it does me.
The line up on the Chefs’ Demonstration stage is the best yet, with some great local talent and a few big names cooking up a storm. As ever, there will be plenty of fun along the way, so be sure to come early to grab a seat.
The Food Matters tent in the Royal Avenue
Gardens will be a hive of lively discussion and tantalising tastings, and is definitely the place to be. And, if you fancy improving your culinary skills, try one of our hands-on workshops with Charlotte Pike from the Field & Fork Cookery School.
There are over 80 local producers for you to choose from in our Festival Market along the South Embankment, the Boat Float and in the Royal Avenue Gardens.
This year we will have an even greater variety of street food to keep every appetite satisfied.
And don’t forget that on Saturday & Sunday
there will be more producers in the Old Market Square, where you will also find live music to keep you entertained.
Our ever-popular Drinks Seminars have a new venue this year – at Dartmouth Yacht Club – where Michael Suttons Cellar will be hosting this year’s experts and keeping your glasses topped up.
On the South Embankment you will also find our Festival Bar, kindly sponsored by Salcombe Distilling Co., which has a fabulous view of the river and is an ideal place to relax and enjoy your favourite tipple.
The Festival would not be possible without our wonderful sponsors, supporters and volunteers, so our grateful thanks go out to you all.
And last but not least, the amazing Festival Committee who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make this festival run smoothly and successfully. It has been an honour to work with you and I thank you for all your hard work and commitment.
