This showroom was on a retail park that offered plenty of parking for customers.
The store seemed clean, tidy and very inviting.
I was greeted by Bart, who asked if I was looking for a traditional or modern kitchen and I said we would prefer something traditional. He presented a shaker-style kitchen and I said that appealed to me. He asked how many units I had in my existing kitchen and I said eight. Bart then highlighted the three range options of Vogue, Infinity and Infinity Plus. He suggested that the Infinity range would be a good option for me and he wrote £2,100 on the pricing estimate form.
He asked about worktops and I chose a timber option and Bart wrote £500 on the form. He then asked if I

You couldn’t miss this showroom as it was located on a busy dual carriageway opposite the Liberty Stadium.
Once inside, Neil greeted me. He asked if I’d prefer a modern or traditional kitchen and I opted for traditional. He said that he would go and get a couple
of brochures and he disappeared to fetch them.
The showroom and kitchen displays were OK, with a number of well-known worktop brands featured.
I continued to browse and I very much liked a traditional pantry cupboard from Mackintosh.
After more than five minutes, Neil returned and apologised that he had been so long. He gave me a copy of the Eco Kitchens brochure and explained that the doors of the pantry cupboard could be changed to put into any kitchen.
He said that around 70% of the kitchens sold by the showroom featured the pantry cupboard. Neil said that the brochures that
he could not find contained a bigger range of doors and he promised that he would send these on to me.

would like to have the kitchen installed and I confirmed that I would – he wrote £1,800 on the form; before totalling it at £4,400.
This all happened so quickly and he did not even mention appliances, taps, sinks, or even if I wanted more units.

Outside this store was a hive of activity with a number of tradespeople
products on to their vehicles.
Inside, showroom manager David was talking to two customers at a desk and he welcomed me, explaining that he would be available in around 20 minutes. The showroom was well presented.
I was looking for a new bath, so I looked at the available options in the showroom. There were two I

He dropped into our conversation that he had a 10-year contract with Wickes, which saw him install more than 650 kitchens/ bathrooms for the retailer. The showroom is cleverly laid out with differently priced kitchens and the innovations he showed me I had not seen anywhere before.
After suggesting that
I book a design appoint- ment, Dale expertly closed the sale by suggesting that the showroom could also offer finance.

which was priced at £1,119.97; the second bath was the Iflo Como, which was priced at £678.99.
On closer inspection, I spotted a poster highlighting that matching toilets and basins in the Herita range started at £525.
l Good displays, but could have used more staff
